Life detour
I have never liked taking pictures of myself mainly because I don’t like the way I look. And why I don’t like the way I look? Well truth be told, I’m fat! I don’t think I’m ugly, but if I’m going to honest with myself— fat on me does not look good nor does it feel good. I also noticed while looking through the family photo albums, I am the one who’s missing from they snapshots because I’m always running from the camera. Well that’s going to change as of today.
Proj3ct #1:
Take a weekly snapshots of myself call “selfty shots saturday”

Anyway back to what I was initially saying, Oh yes, I’m fat! I realize saying it and doing something about it are two totally different things. Instead of complaining and hiding out from my extended family and friends out of shame, I’m going to take one day at a time and do life minus the weight.
Now how I’m going to do that?
Good question.
For starters, I’m going to cut back on my calories intake by making better food choices, leaving the sugary drinks alone and drinking plenty of water. I’m also going to abandon a sedentary lifestyle by getting off the sofa and exercise daily.
This blog will be the platform where I make myself accountable for doing life minus the weight. So on the day of May 26 there will be no more excuses, no more reasons and no more shame to who I am. I am going to spend the next two years maximizing me by taking a life detour from obesity towards being a fit, fierce, fabulous female over forty soon to be fifty. This is my journey…
