I was so happy to see the scale move again this morning! Another pound gone :)

Look at my total inches loss since last month….WOW!!!

Look at my total inches loss since last month….WOW!!!

…and I’m not discouraged

by the number on the scale. I must admit I have been frustrated for the past several weeks because the number hadn’t changed much at all, but why be frustrated when I’m losing inches— they’re just catching up with the pounds.

I can feel the difference in my clothes, loose pants, smalller bra and I’m feeling better about myself overall. With continued changes in my lifestyle by working out (running and doing other healthy wise exercise) controlling my meal portions and watching calories (fats, sugar and sodium) it’s just a matter of time before the pounds fall completely off ;)

I woke up as one of the happiest people in the world! I accomplished weight loss goal #1 below 250 YAY!!!

wow TODAY I felt like I’ve lost two extra pounds, but I won’t know until I get on the scale in the morning. I changed up on my schedule a little bit, instead of running in the early morning hours — I ran late late evening and it felt good after the sun went down.

Initially, as always I started out slow, worried about my knee giving out. I need to let that fear go because once I did I was running with the wind. I didn’t stop at all to walk. YAY for me!

Tomorrow I will pick up my pace just a bit and run a little further. Just two more day before I graduate C25K.

another 2lbs loss, YAY! My weigh loss goal this week is for the scale to read 255lbs.

Standoff With the Scale

Don’t be discouraged if your weight fluctuates day to day. Water retention, digestive issues, and even the amount of food you just ate can influence the daily variations you see on the scale.

Daily weight changes are particularly common when your body is adjusting to your new way of eating. You may also notice that you weigh more immediately after a meal. This is due to the actual weight of the food!

Remember that it takes time for your body to digest what you’ve eaten, and it can take a couple of days for weight loss or weight gain to register on the scale. To avoid confusion and disappointment, weigh yourself only once a week and look to other milestones than a number on the scale to help determine your weight-loss success.

Take pride in how much healthier you feel and how much better your clothes are fitting. Here are some other ways you can measure how you’re doing: Your overall health has improved You feel more energized You’re sleeping better You “crave” healthy meals and snacks You don’t crave candy, baked goods, and junk food. You have come to enjoy exercising. People say you look great!
